Ramon Del Barrio

Ramon Del Barrio (born Ramon G. del Barrio, May 9, 1964 in New York) is an American performer, choreographer, dancer and singer. He is sometimes credited as Raymond Del Barrio. He is part of a family of artists including his grandfather, Ramón Gutiérrez del Barrio and his great uncle, Alejandro Gutiérrez del Barrio.

A veteran choreographer in film, TV and stage, Ramon Del Barrio has been an influential talent in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. He’s worked as a performer, singing and dancing some of the world’s greatest superstar talents including Whitney Houston, Lionel Richie, Paula Abdul, Chita Rivera, Barbra Streisand and Mikhail Baryshnikov. at age 20, he was a regular member of the dance troupe seen daily on Solid Gold Hits, a half-hour weekday version of the also-syndicated Solid Gold.

High profile credits include On-camera Director and Choreographer for multi-platinum boy-band pop sensation, "O-Town" (J Records) on ABC’s primetime hit "Making the Band", Principal Choreographer for critically acclaimed musical "Sisterella", winner of the NAACP Award for Best Musical Staging and Choreography, and most recently Principal Musical Staging and Choreographer for Oscar Winner 2006 Best Live Action Film Short, West Bank Story.

Ramon’s alleged talent and uncompromising commitment to quality work has garnered industry praise from legendary talents such as Oscar winner Jose Ferrar (Cyrano De Bergerac, Lawrence of Arabia, Dune) and Choreographers such as Scott Salmon (La Cage Aux Folles), Bob Fosse (Chicago, Sweet Charity), Michael Peters (Mambo Kings, Thriller, Beat It) and Debbie Allen (Fame).

Ramon is currently touring with Latin legend Chita Rivera in "The Dancers Life," her first national Broadway tour.
